Nars Larger Than Life Lipglosses Review, Lip Swatches

Nars Larger Than Life Lipglosses are relatively new, they are much stickier than the original version but also much more pigmented. They provide a glassy shine to the lips unmatched by most lipglosses. I collected all the non-shimmery creamy shades and here are the swatches.

First up is Norma, a slightly warm red, but not too warm, it's still a true red, not coral at all.

Applied to the lips after dipping twice in the tube. The small brush carry out enough product to add a hint of color and shine to the lips but if you're after full pigment and watery shine, you'll need to redip and reapply. Thanks to its stickiness it won't bleed or run at all.

Odalisque is an opaque orange nude. It tends to show lip lines and is rather picky in terms of matching the right complexions. Norma is semi sheer and is a lot more forgiving in this department.

Piree is an opaque milky pink color. This one doesn't show lip lines as much and the color is more forgiving too. The amount in each lipgloss is only 0.19 oz, which is considerable less than the original version's 0.28 oz.

Tiber is a nude color that has enough pigment that it doesn't look sickly. This one also does not show lip lines as much and works great as an everyday choice.

Lastly, my favorite of the bunch, Place Vendome. It is a deep raspberry color that brightens the face and makes it look very dewy!

Overall, I like The Larger Than Life Lipglosses, they serve a very different function than the original Nars lipglosses. They are great for special occasions when you want the strong pigment of a lipstick and the watery shine of a sticky lip gloss and make it last through several hours (eating not included, for that a stain is needed).  They're also great as daily choices by putting on a thin layer for a hint of color that is natural and brightening. Place Vendome is now my #1 HG lipgloss!
