7 Tom Ford Lip Color Shine Swatches

Having tried the original Tom Ford Lip Color series, I was left unsatisfied with few natural colors to choose from. The various reds were beautiful but not wearable on a daily basis. There were no natural corals and only a few natural pinks but my favorite, Pink Dusk, showcased lines on my lips that I didn't even know existed!

But all my prayers had been answered with the new series, Lip Color Shine! It has plenty of natural looking colors to choose from, the sweet creamy scent is delicious as always and none of them made my lip lines obvious! 

I love them so much I got 7 out of 10 shades! The only ones I skipped were a bright red, not useful enough on a daily basis; a purplish brown, too sickly looking; and a chalky pink, will wash me out no doubt. The remaining colors were all so pretty and natural looking, I couldn't decide which ones to forgo so I got them all!

Tom Ford Eye Color Quad 02 Emerald Lust Review, Swatches, EOTD

Emerald Lust is the other new eyeshadow palette recently released by Tom Ford. It's an iridescent mixture of aquatic blues and greens,  with two glittery shades and no mattes. Despite the dramatic ad for this palette, I found it to be very wearable on a daily bases. Although the colors are bright and shimmery, they're not overly saturated and doesn't scream "look at me" on the eyes.

Tom Ford Lip Color is the starting point for Tom Ford Beauty, I finally got around to testing a few and here are some pictures, swatches and my thoughts on the product.

The lipstick design is luxurious and elegant with black panels encased by golden tops and sides.

Tom Ford Eye Color Quads have become a staple to my daily makeup routine! they're pigmented, easily blendable and the glitters are absolutely gorgeous! I'm so excited that new colors are available with the 2012 AW collection. I got the very purrty purple-beige quad, 01 Enchanted. (I don't know why they're numbering it 01 since Golden Mink is already 01, don't they mean 11? XD)

Nars Larger Than Life Lipglosses Review, Lip Swatches

Nars Larger Than Life Lipglosses are relatively new, they are much stickier than the original version but also much more pigmented. They provide a glassy shine to the lips unmatched by most lipglosses. I collected all the non-shimmery creamy shades and here are the swatches.

First up is Norma, a slightly warm red, but not too warm, it's still a true red, not coral at all.

Applied to the lips after dipping twice in the tube. The small brush carry out enough product to add a hint of color and shine to the lips but if you're after full pigment and watery shine, you'll need to redip and reapply. Thanks to its stickiness it won't bleed or run at all.

Nars Lhasa Single Eyeshadow is part of the Spring 2012 Collection. Lhasa is a beautiful lavender gray that is both classy and casual, a very practical color for everyday use.

Tom Ford Black Orchid and Violet Blonde Eau de Parfum Review

I've always been into heavy perfumes of the floral oriental kind. Tom Ford has many perfumes in this category.  I picked up two from his Signature Collection line, Black Orchid and Violet Blonde.

All the Signature Collection perfume bottles have vertical lines and metallic name placards.

Let's talk about Black Orchid first. One can tell from the black packaging that this is not a bright sunny orchid, but a dark mysterious orchid.

More than eyeshdows, what really caught my eye from Tom Ford Beauty was their blushes! They have a special brightness that just light up my entire face, doing much more than adding color to the cheeks! I chose 02 Frantic Pink and 03 Flush especially for this quality.

Tom Ford Eye Color Quad 09 Violet Dusk Swatches, Looks

For someone who loves purple eyeshadows, 09 Violet Dusk was the second choice on my list, right after the all purpose 01 Golden Mink. There is another purple quad among Tom Ford eyeshadow palettes, 04 Crushed Amethyst, but that one is duller and more reddish, not as appealing to me as Violet Dusk.
